What is a Health Coach and what is the purpose of seeing one?
Think of a Health Coach as a guide on your journey to better health and happiness.
Unlike dietitians or doctors, a health coach's role is not to focus on one sole element or symptom of unbalanced health.
For instance, If you're trying to lose weight, we're not going to just teach you to count calories or keep a food journal. Instead, we're going to dig for the root of your issue. We'll teach you to deconstruct your cravings, examine your moods, lifestyle, stress levels, sleep habits, and relationships and look for WHY you're having difficulty maintaining a healthy weight.
The hope is that by focusing on your body and lifestyle as a WHOLE- we can help you not only focus on the individual element of your health you'd like to improve, but can also improve your general quality of life overall. And that my friends, is why I use my motto- Real Food, Real Life- Real Joy!
